Ingredients

  • 1 lb bottom-round steak
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh lemon wedges for serving
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the ground cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, salt, and black pepper to create the Moroccan spice rub.
  • Pat the bottom round steak dry with a paper towel, then rub the spice mixture all over it, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak and cook for 4-6 minutes per side or until the desired doneness is reached.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve with fresh lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the steak. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  • Enjoy the Moroccan Spice Rubbed Bottom Round Steak with your choice of sides, such as couscous, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
